CANADIAN STRIKE POSTPONED
By Cablfc —Press Association—Copyright. (Received 5.5 p.m., June 19.) OTTAWA, June 18. Following on a conference between 'Cabinet members and the postal workers, the threatened nation-wide strike of postal employees has been deferred for twenty-four hours.

DISCHARGE OR RETURN TO WORK. By Cable—Press Association —Copyright. (Received 10.30 p.m., June 19.) OTTAWA, June 18. Following the action of the postal workers in Toronto, Montreal and several other cities, in striking tonight according to schedule, postmasters have been notified that the men must be given till 10 o’clock on Thursday morning to return to work, otherwise they will be replaced. The acting Postmaster-General (Mr Stewart) said the mails must be moved, and postmen have been instructed to take the necessary steps to this end. :
