TIMARU ASSOCIATION. A meeting of the gcgoral .committee of the Timaru Boxing Association was held in the Arcade on Tuesday night Present —Messrs L. Dewar (chairman),. T. Sugar, A. (J. 'lTiggs, \Y'. Outlibertson, C. Lawrence, \v. Best, A: H. Clemens, H. Tiplady, and J. V. McKeague (secretary). Apologies for absence were received from Messrs P. Lewis, T. Currie, A. N. Oakey, and E. A. Earwaker. A letter was received from'Mr C. Norton, Temuka, suggesting certain amateur bouts lor tiio next tournament. Fred Zimmerman wrote from Wei lihgton regarding his postponed light witn Eddie, Pm ker, anu stated that he would be back in Timatu at ah early date, to resume training for his light with Parker on July 10. An account for 25s was received from Mr W. Ives, Temuka, for hire of car to bring boxers from Temuka for the 3rd June tournament. —it was decided that the Association was not liable foi this account. A letter was received from the Ashburton Athletic Club, asking for en tries for their championship bouts on 25th June. . . It was decided that the Association procure a die for a medal, for the sum of £5. It was resolved that Messrs - Dewar, Segar and Lawrence decide to whom the medals should bo awarded for the most scientific boxer and pluckiest loser at the late tournament. Regarding the ZimmermankParker bout, it was decided that this fight be arranged on 10th July. Admission prices were fixed as follows: —Ringside 15s, dress circle 7s 6d, orchestral stalls 7s 6d, stalls 6s, and pit 4s.
