' At the naval inquiry into the explosion aboard the Mississippi, a seaman testified that following on the first explosion, he was assisting to carry a body from the wrecked tur ret ' when the dead man s stiffened hand struck, the firing switch, throwins it into contact with a live shell, thus producing the second explosion.
