At Glasgow, the police, suspecting a hall at the east end of the city was frequented by alleged sympathisers of Irish Republican ideas, carried out a raid during the early hours of the morning, whilst a dance was progressing, and found a quantity of ammunition - and explosives. They arrested five men, whq ; were . subsequently charged with’ilieing in-pos-session of the ammunition. They were remanded.
