MEMORIAL SERVICE. A memorial serveo to the late Mr J. Ivippenberger was held in the Nukuroa Church on Saturday afternoon, while in the evening a similar service was held in St. Paul’s Church, Waimate. On each occasion large congregations were present, a fact which testifies to the esteem in which the family aro held. The Rev. A. IT. Eowles officiated at both services. TAW Al. On Friday afternoon a team ol Ikawai schoolboys journeyed to Taivai, where they met and defeated the local boys at football by 30 to 3. Mr Cotton refereed the game. The ladies of the district- provided afteroon tea, which was much appreciated. STUDHOLME. The annual, concert in aid of the school funds was held in the Nukuroa Hall last Thursday night. Despite extreme, rough weather there was a large attendance. Mr W. Lindsay, chairman of the School Committee, stated that, they were grateful to the Timaru performers who had made the trip tinder .the weather conditions prevailing. The programme was as follows: ~ Pianoforte solo, Mr It. Harris; songs, MisiL Runri and Master-. • Dunn, Miss Donnelly, Messrs A. Wheeler, A. Tennant, ’and R. Jenkins; trio, Misses Burns, Ward, and Air Harris; pianoforte solo, Miss O’Aieeghan. After an excellent supper, dancing was carried on, to music supplied ,ly Mr A. Bortliwiek, Air W.
