A telegram from Lilly (Pennsylvania) says the trial successively ol seventeen klansmen, charged with the murder of three persons us the result of the liu Klux Kian riots, has already resulted in one acquittal, but further riots and trouble wore loreshadowed when the Klun sent letters threatening death to the prosecuting attorney (Mr Weirner) if ho brings another klansman to trial. Tho acquitted klansman has not been re leased, since lie must be tried three times, and the prosecutors are detei. mined to secure a conviction. Mr AYeimer stresses the fact iliat thirteen townspeople also face murdei trials as the result of their part in tho disastrous warfare, and' he is determined to secure impartial justice. The State authorities turned a local hotel into an arsenal, troopers, cavalry, machine guns and much ammunition being available to prevent trouble. Religious fervour has seized the klan, and a revival service is being held in the gaol, where those imprisoned sang hymns and professed conversion.
