SWAGMAN’S SUICIDE. Association. ASHBURTON, June 16. Frank Butcher, a middle aged man, was found dead in a whare at Seafield this morning. He was hanging by a rope fixed to tlie roof. Deceasea was unknown in the district, where lie had been carrying a swag, and soliciting food and shelter.

At the inquest the evidence showed that deceased bad been depressed recently. A verdict was returned that death, was due to drowning, the cause being unknown.
