The Yellow forwards pressed, hard, Mahan relieving with a dribbling run to midfield. AY. Lawson secured from a scrummage and shot the ball smartly out to G. Lawson, who beat three me?! with a sharp burst before handing til to his supports. RUGBY LEAG UE, PLAY. QUEENSLAND DEFEATS ENGLAND. Received June 15, 5.0 p.m. BRISBANE, June 14. There was hue weather lor the Rugby League game, in which Queensland uefeatod England, by 26 points to 0, after a wretched exhibition of football. The game was marked by many mistakes on both sides, and altogether lacked brilliance. At half-time tlie scores were Queensland 8, England 5. In the second half, Queensland played a greatly improved game and finished ivith the match well in hand.

THE ENGLISH TOUR. NON-PLAYING MEMBERS. By- Telegraph—Press Association. AAYELLINGTON, June 15. AYhen the Neyv Zealand team leaves for England, it will be accompanied by. a number of enthusiasts, among wnom will be some who have prominent-'in the game either as players or officials. It is understood that H. E. Nicliolls contemplates making the trip to England, though it may not be as a member of the official party, as the New Zealand Rugby Union has not yet received an application on liis behalf. Those who travel with the team must receive permission from the New Zealand Union. Applications to' travel with the team have been considerably in excess of the number for which permission can bo granted. Local enthusiasts who will travel with tho team, are Mr L. Simpson, well known throughout the Dominion as a referee; Mr H. Murphy, a member of 'the Wellington Rugby' Union. Mr AY. Dustin, who was a prominent footballer, in AVanganui, and Manawatu districts is also making the trip. The appointment of a delegate to the Imperial Conference to be held in London about the end of the year, has not been made by the New Zealand Union. Mr V. Meredith, of Auckland, is available to act on behalf of the N.Z.R.U., in this capacity. Other reported to be available for the position include Mr S. AVilson' (Canterbury), and Mr H. Harris (Otago).
