rFrom Our Own Correspondent). EUCHRE PARTY. On Thursday evening the J.0.0.F. Lodge, held a euchre tournament in the Parish Hall. The weather was not conducive to a large attendance, nevertheless there were nearly fifty lacjies and gentlemen present. The winners of the first prizes were Miss if. Colville and Mr A. Beaton, the consolations going to Mrs H. Wilson and Mr W. Gaby. After supply dancing was indulged in, music being sup plied by Miss M. Colville, extras being played by Mrs A. Anderson. Mrs AY. Gaby capably discharged his duties of M.C. young helpers league. Miss Ashford, warden of the Young Helpers League, visited Milford and Clandeboye schools on Thursday, and addressed the scholars on the fine work being done by Hr. Barnado’s Homes. For this work of earing for 7300 destitute children funds were always needed. and Miss Ashford appealed to the children to do what they could to help children less fortunate than themselves. As a result of this visit a; branch of the Young Helpers League will probably be formed in botlv schools.
