Mi' G. S. Cray returned to Timaru m Wellington yesterday.

Commander E. G. Rhodes, “The Cliffs,” returned to Timaru from the north yesterday. Mr P. R. Climie, organiser for the Canterbury Progress League, came to Timaru from Christchurch yesterday. The secretary of the Newspaper Proprietors’ Association (Mr L. J. Berry), left Timaru for Dunedin yesterday. Miss Kathleen Malone arrived in Timaru yesterday to complete arrangements for the Cellini-Zacharewitsch-Cunara season here on dune 24m and 25th, and is staying ,at the Empire Hotel. ' ■

Though Mr T. D. Burnett, 31. R., for Temuka, is recovering from *hc complaint for which he was recently operated on, his recovery is not so rapid as he had anticipated it would be. 3lr Burnett is still in Stafford Hospital, Dunedin.
