LEVELS COUNTY COUNCIL. \JOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Levels County Council has determined that owing to weather conditions all those roads or parts of roads mentioned in the Schedule hereto are UNFIT FOR HEAVY TRAFFIC WITHIN THE MEANING OF THE BY-LAWS of the County relating to HEAVY TRAFFIC for the time being in force for any time from the 9th day of July, 1924, to the Sth day of October, 1924, inclusive. NOW the said Council in pursuance of the said powers conferred on it by the By-law of the said Council dated the 7th day of August, 1912, and of Section 11 of “The Public Works Act, and by each or either of them, the said By-law and the said Act, doth hereby order and direct that the transportation of any Traction Engine or Vehicle engaged in Heavy Traffic for such a time as aforesaid shall cease on the roads, or parts of roads, specified in the Schedule hereto and between the points or places therein mentioned by way of the said roads or parts of x-oads. SCHEDULE. 1— THE MAIN NORTH ROAD from the Timaru Borough Boundary at Waimataitai to the Opihi Bridge at Arowhenua. 2 THE MAIN MACKENZIE ROAD from its junction with the Main North Road at Washdylce to the boundary between the Levels and Mackenzie Counties at Cave. 3 THE MAIN SOUTH ROAD from the Timaru Borough Boundary near Saltwater Creek to the Lower/Pareora Bridge. 4 THE MAIN OTIPUA ROAD from its junction with the Main South Road at Saltwater Creek to the Upper Pareora Bridge. 5 THE FAIRVIEW ROAD com- • mencing'aJ Alexander Beck’s gate on Unit road to the Upper 6 THE e MAI| r CLAREMONT ROAD from the Timaru Borough Boundary, Wai-iti Road, to the Main Mackenzie Road at Sutherlands. 7 TPIE MAIN' TOTARA ROAD from the Raincliff Bridge to the boundary between the Levels County and the Pleasant Point Town District. 8— THE OPIHI. Such General Rates to become due and payable in ONE SUM, at the office of the Levels County Council, Church Street, Timaru, on the Ist day of AUGUST, 1924. The Valuation Rolls will be open for inspection at the office of the Levels County Council, Church Street, Timaru, from this date until the making of the said Rates. By Order of the Council. F. E.
