v BURNSIDE STOCK SALE. By Press Association. DUNEDIN, June 11, There were large .entries ..of stock in (each department at Burnside to-day. The supply', in most instances, was in excess or requirements, and prices were easier for sheep and fat and store cattlo, while pigs suffered a big reduction. Fat Cattle.—A large yarding of 377 head. Towards the end of the sale the market collapsed, and 100 head were passed. Prime haudy-weight bullocks sold at up to 31s 6d per lOOlbs, prime heavy-weights up to 30s, medium quality up to 295.; prime heifers to 245, and prime cows and heifers from 17s to 19s. Extra prime .heavy-weight bullocks sold up to £l6, prime £ll 15s to £l4, medium to £ll. Extra prime cows and heifers realised, up to £9, prime £5 10s to £7, medium £4 10s to £5 l(k. Fat Sheep.—3334 were penned, a large proportion being, medium and light-weight wethers and ewes, suitable for export. Freezing buyers were keen competitors, especially for well-finished light weight wethers and ewes, but the market showed an easing tendency as the sale progressed, and the closing sales a reduction of from 6d to Is per head. Prime handy-weight wethers-sold at from 7d to 7Jd per lb., extra prime heavy wethers up to 63d, medium quality wethers to 6Jd, extra heavy ewes to 4fd, prime handy weight ewes from sjd to 54d.
