Prime wethers 49s (a few special 595), prime 40s 6d to 455, medium 36s 6d to 40s, light 30s to 365; extra prime ewes 41s, prime 33s to 3is, medium 28s 6d to 325, light 24s 6d to 88s. . . Fat Cattle.-—A fairly heavy yarding 'of 420 head. Generally the market was a shade better than last week. Prime beef made from 30s to 33s per. lOOlbs, medium 26s 6d to 29s 6d, light 22s to '26s. Extra prime steers £l7, prime £l2 5s to £ls, medium £lO to £l2, light £4 15s to £9 10s; extra prime heifers £lO 2s 6d, prime £6 15s to £9, ordinary. £4 to £6 ,10s ; . extra prime cows £lO 7s 6d, prune £6 to £9, metliuni £4 5s to £5 ios. ■ •Vealers —An overflow entry. Good runners £5 12s 6d, good vealers £3 to £4, good calves £1 10s to £2 15s, small 6s to 20s. ... Store Cattle.—A fair sized entry. Best cows realised £2 to £2 17s 6d, medium £1 10s to £1 17s 6d, inferior £1 'to £1 ss. Fat Pigs.—A medium entry and a good sale, quite on a par with last week. Choppers made £3 to £8 10s, light baconers £3 15s to £4 10s, heavy £5 to £5 15s, extra heavy £6 9s; average" price per lb 8d to 81 d. Light porkers £2 3s to £2 10s, heavy £2 15s •to £3 10s, average price : per lb Sd to B|d. • _ ' Store Pigs.—A small entry. Weaners 60ld at late rates. Values were as follows: —Small weaners 7s to 10s, good to 16s, small stores 20s to 255, medium 33s'to 40s, large to 51s.

v BURNSIDE STOCK SALE. By Press Association. DUNEDIN, June 11, There were large .entries ..of stock in (each department at Burnside to-day. The supply', in most instances, was in excess or requirements, and prices were easier for sheep and fat and store cattlo, while pigs suffered a big reduction. Fat Cattle.—A large yarding of 377 head. Towards the end of the sale the market collapsed, and 100 head were passed. Prime haudy-weight bullocks sold at up to 31s 6d per lOOlbs, prime heavy-weights up to 30s, medium quality up to 295.; prime heifers to 245, and prime cows and heifers from 17s to 19s. Extra prime .heavy-weight bullocks sold up to £l6, prime £ll 15s to £l4, medium to £ll. Extra prime cows and heifers realised, up to £9, prime £5 10s to £7, medium £4 10s to £5 l(k. Fat Sheep.—3334 were penned, a large proportion being, medium and light-weight wethers and ewes, suitable for export. Freezing buyers were keen competitors, especially for well-finished light weight wethers and ewes, but the market showed an easing tendency as the sale progressed, and the closing sales a reduction of from 6d to Is per head. Prime handy-weight wethers-sold at from 7d to 7Jd per lb., extra prime heavy wethers up to 63d, medium quality wethers to 6Jd, extra heavy ewes to 4fd, prime handy weight ewes from sjd to 54d. Extra prime heavy-weight wethers sold up to 48s, prime 42s to 44s 6d, medium 34s to 38s; extra prime heavy-weight ewes sold up to 45s 3d, prime 29s to 32s 6d, medium 21s to 24s 9d. ”” Fat Landbs. —A large entry numbering about 1400 head. Competition was brisk, and prime lambs sold at from 9sd to 10$d per lb. Extra prime heavyweight lambs sold up to 48s, prime 34s to 395, medium 25s to 295. Store Cattle.—A large entry numbering over 250 head. Well grown bullocks sold from £6 13s to £7 14s, good heifers from £2 10s to £3, and aged cows from £1 10s to‘£2. . . Dairy Cattle.—About. 40 head were offered, the entry meeting with a fair "demand. Best cows sold up to £9 'los, heifers £7 10s to £8 10s, and aged cows £3 to £5. : Pigs.—Prices for all prime quality : baconers and porkers were easier to ' the extent of fully 10s a head. Best baconers were sold at prices oh a basis • of about 7d, and prime porkers of about Sd per lb.

LONDON PRODUCE MARKETS. The Bank of New Zealand has received the following advice from London Office under date 6th instant: Butter.—Steady; 166 s to 170 s per cwt. Cheese.—Steady; _ good condition S6s to 87s per cwt. inferior'Bos to 84s. Frozen meat.—The market for wethers is unchanged. There is a better demand for ewes. The market is weaker for second quality lambs, while first grades are firm. The market for ox beef has a weakening tendency. The demand for cow beef is poor.
