FIRE IN DUNEDIN.

CAR AND BUILDING CONSUMED.

DUNEDIN, June 11

Shortly before 11 p.m., a firo broke out in old wooden premises occupied by H. Brion. coach and motor trimmer, in Stuart Street, opposite St. Paul’s Cathedral. Flames were bursting through the front and roof, and endangering an adjoining Chinese laundry when the City Brigade arrived. A large Essex motor car owned by Air Brion was destroyed. Brion and an assistant wero working under the car when they dropped a nut and lighted a match to look for it. Petrol in the carburettor ignited. Brien and tho assistant escaped before the petrol tank exploded.

A fire occurred in the same premises about throe months ago, when the interior was badly damaged, but no urcat structural damage was dons.
