Expending Generous Gift.

The Paris correspondent of the “Morning Post,” states that the Franch-American Committee, administering the Roekfeller gift, has decided to utilise 7,000,000 francs, one-third of the gift, immediately. A million francs will he devoted to repairing the roof and the Angel Tower of Rheims Cathedral, and re-estab-lishing the superstructure to a state before the bombardment. Reinforced concrete will be used in order to avoid the danger of fire. Two million francs will be expended at Fountainebleau, and four millions at Versailles.
-The gift, at the present exchange rate, represents between 19 and 20 million francs.
