To the Editor of the “Timaru Herald” Sir, —Owing to tiie very unsatisfacLory position of electric power in South Canterbury, private citizens have at last come to the conclusion that something ought to be done to remedy tin. intolerable' nuisance of the failure of the supply from Lake Coleridge. The public spirit shown by the promotion of the meeting called for to morrow (Thursday) evening, at the Lyceum deserves every support, ft is the duty of tlio people who have a spark of progress ill their make-up to attend the meeting and see if it is not possible to lormulate a policy cl action to eiuiblo tho town and the surrounding districts to unite and work, now and all the time, with one single purpose, to provide cheap and reliable electric power for all.
