The Governor-General, the Earl of Athlone, and Princess Alice, had an exciting hunting adventure in the Messina district, Transvaal, with one attendant. The Governor-General wounded a wild beetle bull which charged straight at the party. The Earl of Athlone arid the attendant fired when the animal was 30 yards away, artd fortunately killed it.
