TIMARU GUN CLUB.
HANDICAP SWEEPSTAKES. The Gun Club held a shoot at Saltwater Creek on Saturday, when an enjoyable afternoon was spent unaer ideal shooting conditions. The marksmanship, however, was not quite up to tho usual standard. In tho main match of tho day, a ]-bird handicap sweepstake, nono oi tho fourteen competitors scored the possible, which, is an unusual occurrence in a Timaru shoot, the folj 0 "' ing six scored nine each—D. R- Grant, J. Little, P. O’Connor, D. Evans, W. J McCulloch, and W. O. Long. Alter taking out of the stake enough to cover their nomination, these six shot off for the balance of the I’MpPand for the challenge cup. 11 s J^ off was Avon bv D. Evans, aftei U extra birds, F.
