A contingent of American cowboys and cowgirls fdr Wembley arrived and travelled in charabancs. They caused amusing scenes by lasooing bank messengers, and belltoppcrs. Groups of women were also roped in. 'The horseplay was accepted good naturedly.
For tho first time a horse lias made an aerial journey. A racer travelled by a Goliath machine from Le Bourget to Amsterdam. The Indian Assembly passed a Bill providing protection for steel industries, rejected the protective duties oil agricultural implements and restored tho protective duty on tho tinplate industry which a select committee had omitted.
The closing session of the Mining Congress at Womblc.v resolved to constitute au Imperial Council of Mining Metallurgical Science. The Institute Constitution includes operation between the constituent bodies throughout the Empire; secondly, to foster and maintain a high level of technical efficiency and professional status, and to establish a register of professional mining metallurgists.
