Lengthy correspondence was received from the N.Z.F.A. regarding the Chinese' tour. —It was agreed that the matter of a ground be held over pending fuller particulars; and that a deputation be appointed to meet the* Employers’ Association, with a view of a half-holiday being

granted on Wednesday, August 27. The Selection Committee of the South Canterbury Football Association were asked to submit names of players, to represent New Zealand in the test matches. The match, Rovers v. Aangers will be played at Russell Square, on Saturday, at 2.45. Mr Hunter was appointed referee, and Messrs Angus and Watson linesmen. The junior match, Rovers v. Thistle, is to be .played at Anzac Square at 1.30. Permission was granted to the Thistle Club to play a match v. Oamaru on Anzac Square on Saturday. A vote of thanks to Mr Stewart for the use of his. room brought the meeting to a close.
