INFANTICIDE.
BABY KILLED TO QUIETEN IT,

Following neighbours’ stories that a ten-months-old baby boy of a married couple, named Travis, residing at Marylebone, was missing, the police questioned them. They first stated that the baby was sent to the care of friends. Later Travis, who is aged 21, admitted that the child was restless at. night, and he squeezed Its nose to quieten it. It ceased breathing. He placed the body in a kit bag and left it in the New Street railway cloakroom. The detectives found it there and arrested Travis, on a charge of murder.
