LONDON, June 6. “Lancashire wants a Macdonald,” declares a special article in a Liverpool newspaper, urging the county authorities to secure the services of the Australian bowler. The cry has been taken up by other Lancashire newspapers, ono of which understands that an offer will be made to Macdonald, who is not adverse to the idea. Another paper points out that although Macdonald is under agreement with the Nelson Club, for this and next season, it is considered likely he will return to Australia at the end of this season, and play against the Englishmen in the tests. It ho does, ho will automatically bo ineligible for Lancashire.
