The weather was fine, and both teams were out in full strength. Tho play throughout was strenuous, the scores at half time being level —one all. In the second half though the visitors attacked hotly, the Australians were superior, and"their tactics, helped to some extent by luck, secured them a victory of 3 to 2.

THISTLE AND RANGELS DRAW. Thistle anti Rangers met at Russell Square on Saturday in line weather. Mr R. Nicoi was refeere. Thistle kicked oil, lacing a hot sun, which troubled the backs. Davidson stopped a well combined effort on the part of the Thistle forwards, while from a scrummage at the other end, Thistle were lucky in clearing. The game finished a goal-less draw.
