MECHANICS’ INSTITUTES’ BALL

Cross (cornet), and Mr Stan Parker as M.C., cann.d out his duties in an efficient manner. Extras were contributed by Miss McCallum, Miss Davidson, and Mr Angus Brown. The grand march was led off bv the president of the Institute (M j ’\\ Smart), and the librarian (Mis Webb). Supper was provided in the le.,er 1 11 bv the ladies, the tables being laid most attractively. In the coarse of the evening the president hoard!v thanked the ladies who provided such a delicious supper and had worked so willingly to make the function the success it was.
