A verv pleasant function took place in the office of Air T. R. Mackay, on Wednesday afternoon, when Air E. G. Rinvnsley, late manager of Da.lgoty and Coy’s Timaru branch, was farewelled by members of the South Canterburv Stock Auctioneers' Association and the South Canterbury AVoolbrokci'iS' Association. Afr Mackay, in presenting Air Rawnsley with a silver tray from the members of both Associations, eulogised tho recipient’s splendid service in Timaru, and wished. hmi eiei\ happiness and prosperity in his now home. Air F. C. May, also referred to Air Rawnsley’s splendid equalities as a business man and citizen. Airs E. M. Arthur, Trafalgar Street, returned on Thursday from Dunedin, where she has been staying with Airs John Sim, Anderson’s Bay. Nurses Alunro and Wilkinson, oi Southland, are the guests of Mrs J. McLeod, Waimataitai. Miss Eileen Twomey, Temuka, who is studying music at the Royal Academy, London, is spending a month in Rpme, says a Home correspondent. On Alonday night Aliss Kathleen Young, Elizabeth Street, gave a most enjoyable fox-trot part]', in honour oi her guest, Miss Vida Yates, Wellington.
