ALP TRAGEDY.

BROTHERS DIE. BY CABLE —PRESS ASSN.—COPYRIGHT (Received 11 p.m., June 4.) Gsnei/a, June 3. A grim alpine tragedy was 'solved by the discovery on the Ifficin Alps, near Lenk, of the bodies of Doctor Kahni and his brother, both eminent alpinists whom an avalanche swept into a crevasse in December. The brothers were locked in each other’s arms. The bodies are perfectly preserved. Their haversacks had been emptied. The men apparently lived for a week at the bottom of a precipice, vainly hoping for help. Swiss guides spent a fortnight endeavouring to locate them, running great risks from avalanches.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
