Sir George Arthur, the organiser of the memorial service to the late Sarah Bernhardt in Westminster Cathedral, lias been commissioned bv Messrs Hoinomann to Avrite an appreciation of the great actress. This will not be a biography, but rather a study of her character. Though the artistic side of her career will not be omitted, _ Sir George, avlio ivas her intimate friend I for many years, will Avrite of Sarah Bernhardt more personally, shoAving her as a member of her family circle and as a daughter of France. Her personality and her patriotism Avill be the main features of this book, which will be published in the early summer.
