Paris, June 2. Reports of alleged faking of works or art in Louvre aroused great interest. Reports are in circulation that for years am organised band has been pillaging remote French churches for artistic treasures which were removed and faked copies substituted. The centre of traffic is alleged to be the Mont Pamasse quarter. Confirmation of this is given by the action of an art dealer at Mont Pamasse closing his studio and disappearing.
