A BOYNE MONUMENT. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSN. —COPYRIGHT (Received 10 p.m., June 1.) London, June 1. Dublin reports that the- Boyne obelisk which stood for nearly 20u years on the site of the Battle of the Boyne to commemorate King William HI. was blown to pieces during the night. Investigation discloses that the foundation was bored and three powerful land mines operated, by time fixed fuses. The obelisk was thrown across the road and shattered into a pile of masonry six feet deep. Half a ton of stones used in the base were hurled 200 yards into the river bed.—A. and N.Z. Cable. '
