WEDDING.

' GEESON—LYFORD. A very popular wedding took place at St. John's Cnurch, Cneviot, last week, when Alaucl ,only daughter of Airs Geeson, “Diancle very,” Domett, was married to Air L. Dyford, “Ben Ohau,” Fairlie. The Rev. Mr Dyer officiated, and, the church was prettily j decorated by the bride's girl friends, i The bride, who was given away by her brother, Air H. Geeson, was becomingly gowned in steel-grey satm, heavily beaded in pink and steel beads, and panelled with georgette. Her hat toned with her froclr; and she carried a beautiful bouquet of autumn flowers. The bridesmaids were Miss Osborn : (Christchurch) and Aliss Lucy Denton (Domett). The chief bridesmaid wore a very smart Victorian frock of cameopink velvet trimmed with a deep Brussels lace collar, and a wreath of handmade flowers round the waist. Her large hat was also of pink velvet. She caned a bouquet of lemon flowers ,and wore a Nellie Stewart bracelet, the gift of the bridegroom. Aliss Lucy Denton made a pretty little flower-girl in a frock of Princess Alary blue velvet, , trimmed with grey corical trimming and steel beads, and wore a petal bat of the same material. She carried a Victorian posy, and wore an aquamarine pendant, the gift of the bridegroom. The bridegroom’s gift to the bride was an Overland motor car, and the bride s gift to the bridegroom was a gold signet Mr Giles (Whangarei) carried out the duties of best man. ' After the ceremony one hundred and thirty guests were entertained at a wedding breakfast, which was held m the Domett Hall. Airs Geeson, who received the guests, wore a smart black merv frock, heavily, beaded with jets, and a black panne hat ornamented with jets and ospreys. Later in the ''afternoon the happy couple left ,amid showers of confetti, for the south, where the honeymoon is being spent. The bride wore a smart r.mger costume trimmed with mole fur, and a hat of mole fur with Oriental trimmings.
