MARVELLOUS DISCOVERY. I-LLLiOTHEiIAF Y. FOR SKIN DISEASES. PROFESSOR LESSER reports a series of 200 cases —128 men, 72 women —which have been treated by him at the Finsen Skin Institute. These cases were not selected for the purpose of showing the efficacy of the Sun Lamp (Hilotherapy). Of the 132 cases oi baldness appearing in patches 80 per cent, were cured, 16 improved, 8 remained unimproved. Of the 53 cases of premature loss of hair all were cured. Furthermore 22 cases of total baldness were treated and all of these were cured except six cases oi which some failed to return for treatment. Knowing well how intensely interesting this would be to hundreds of New Zealanders suffering from baldness, deficient, short, - thin, and prematurely grey hair, as well as the different forms of dry and oily liair, Mr Leslie procured when in America the latest apparatus for this treatment. Professor Lesser states: In my experience there is no remedy which will stop hair loss, none that will hasten its growth, and I turn therefor to the new method (Hilotherapy) which is indicated by the direct and in many cases brilliant results in the treatment of hair diseases in general.
