Blazes was allowed to drop out of the Brighton Handicap, for the sufficient reason that at Oamaru Happy Warrior handed him 25lbs and a defeat, and would have met him on lalbs better terms at YVingatui. Rorke’s Drift finished behind Lady Blissful over fer> furlongs at Oamaru when receiving 71bs, and comes in on 51bs worse terms in the Birthday. Any success which come the way of the Racecourse stable will be well deserved.
