POLO HANDICAP CUP

PAREORA’S UPHILL FICHT. RANvHTIKEI B. WINS. (Special to the “Herald.”) FEILDING, Thursday. The final for the Handicap Hup, and the filial match of the tournament, took place this afternoon at the Fefidipg JocKey Chub's grounds, in perfect woather. The ground was in capual order - , and the game fast, proving very exciting towards the end, with Pareora striving to overtime their handicap. Pareora,, received two goals and itangitikei B 15, and this Handicap proved too much for the former team. Mr Noel W llson was the umpire. Pareora attacked at the start, and from a rush led by Orbell i'areora. got a behind, repeating a few minutes later. In the second spell play was even, Scott and McKelvic for Bangitikoi and Miller for Pareora putting in good work. Scott stopped a hot shot from Orbplf. Pareora had several chances - to score, but missed them through bad shooting. In the third spell Pareora set up an attack, and headed by Orbell carried the oall to the posts where A. S. Elworthy scored the first goal—Pareora 3;Rangitikei 15. Orbell scored on the resumption of play—Pareora 4; ltangitikei 15. Again attacking, Pareora were stopped by Scott. Pareora livened up the play, but the defence of Rangitikei, was sound, Scott in goal being very sure. In the fourth spoil from a penalty Miller hit an easy goal—Pareora 5; Rangitikei 15.
