The “Daily Express” Athens correspondent reports that violent deluges occurred in Macedonia, southern Serbia, and Thesmly. Swollon rivers swept away ©ntire villages, and the terror-stricken people are taking refuge in the mountains. Thousands aro homeless and a heavy death roll is feared. Rain is still falling heavily. The Salonika and Kavalla regions have been converted into a huge lake. Hundreds of people half demented by fear, climbed to tho roofs or tops of trees where they wore kept prisoner by tho floods. Whole herds of cattle and flocks of sheep wore drowned. —A. and N.Z. Cable.
