Mr C. J- Talbot left Timaru for Oamaru on Saturday. Mr IVm. Harper, who has resided in Makikihi for the last ten' years, is about to leave for Waikaka, Southland. He expected to ho away only a short time, and looked to coming back to Geraldine, to which he and Mrs Kerr had become very .fond, and hoped to spend many 'happy 1 years to it. The singing of ‘‘For He’s a -Tolly Good Fellow, and cheers for Captain and Mrs Kerr, concluded a very pleasant little ceremony.
