Boase was attired in a smart navy blue costume, with pink and black hat relieved with i black and gold ribbon. AVOOD—THOAIAS. A wedding took place -at Otekaike on February 21, the contracting parties being Aliss Sadie Thomas, daughter of Air and Airs It. Thomas, and Air Albert E. AVood, son of Air and Airs AV. Wood, AVaimatc, Tho Rev. Aloffatt was the ■ officiating clergyman. The bride, who | was given away by her father, wore a j dainty frock of ivory silk, neck and j sleeves trimmed with transparent beads, j front of dress prettily band embroiderj ed, wide sash terminating in long ends - finished with tassels. Tho j bridesmaid, Aliss Phylils AVatt wore a. pretty frock of dove grey chiffon taffeta, georgette sleeves, tho waist being finished in silk flowers of a dainty red. Her hat was of palest georgette trimmed with a wreath of Oriental daisies. She also carried a sheath of Italian daisies. Mr AVdliam Wood, brother of bridegroom, was best man. After tho ceremony a reception was j Held at tho residence of the bride’s naropts. The 'orido and bridegroom left by motor for Onmaru, thence to Christciiurcn ior their honeymoon, .before returning to Timaru, their future home. The bride travelled in a navy costumetrimmed with circe braid, hat to match of panne velvet. She also wore brown furs. In tho esvening, Air and Airs | Thomas entertained li, number of guests at a dance.
