Tho Director reported on the work of the College for the month ending March Hi. Notification had been received from the .Education Department of a small grant tor ihe purchase of motor engineering equipment. The day school roll was the same as last month —B7. The classes were ail working very smoothly. Ho regretted that Mrs Baiil.o lmd been ordered a month’s complete rest b,v her doctor. as she was suffering from the result of a motor accident. Up to the present ]BG students had enrolled for the evening elasses as compared with .211 for the same period of 1922. The classes in shorthand and ivping were noL being attended by quite so many pupils as in previous years, whilst on 'tile other j hand the classes in millinery and ticket- j writing had increased in number. It was a. matter for regret that but one pupil had enrolled for the art '-lass, considering that tho services of a fully qualified art, master were available. Up to the present about fourteen students 1 had enrolled for a or,nrse in plumbing, but so far he had not been aide to get the use of a room or Mop which could bo utilised for this purpose, 'two classes in wool-classing bad been arranged for pupils from the Hoys’ .High School, and classes in agriculture, science and drawing for teachers commenced on Saturday last.
