Tlie thirteenth annual show ot the Tcmuka and Geraldine Agricultural anil .pastoral Association will bo Held on tlio fsuow Grounds, \\ incncster, on Tnursday next. Xne popularity of this Association's: annual hxtui'o is indicated by tuc fact that the entries once again are excellent. A feature of the snow will be the pony, and hunting events, particularly large entries having been received in these sections. Arrangements have been made for both express trains to stop at Winchester, so that tlio shew patrons will he fully provided for. Hot water will be availab o for visitors, and the hue, well-sheltered grounds offer a big attraction lor picnickers and..pleasure-seekers. \vith a line day everything indicates a b u S e success.

A dance ..will be bold in the Catholic Hall, Temuka, this evening.

A grand concert .will be given in Wesley Hall on Wednesday evening next. The promoters have secured the services of the best talent, and an excellent programme l has been arranged.

At the Temuka Police Court yesterday morning, before Messrs IV. I'. Evans and Geo. Hancox, J.P.’s, H. McCauslanci, alias Cain, was charged with drunkenness, and also with being an idle and disorderly person. Sergeant •Dwan, who prosecuted, stated that defendant- had appeared before the Court on Wednesday morning charged with drunkenness, afid had been discharged on the understanding that he would leave the town. Constables banister and O’Connor gave evidence stating that defendant was making a nuisance of himself in the town, and was m a state bordering on delirium tremens. Defendant was convicted and discharged on the first charge and convicted and sentenced to 14 days’ imprisonment on the second.
