THE DISCOVERY. A BIG PURCHASE. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSN.—COPYRIGHT (Received 10 p.m., March 16.) London, March 15. The agent for the Crown Colonies has purchased Captain Scott’s Antarctic vessel, ‘‘The Discovery.” She will be utilised by the Colonial Office expedition to study tlie habits of whales in the vicinity of the Falkland Islands. The vessel is being refitted and starts towards the end of the year.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
