The Wingatui arrived here early yesterday morning and sailed after ..loading for Wellington and Auckland. Tim Port Caroline also arrived early ■.yesterday, and discharged cargo from 'Home. She should sail at daybreak this morning. This is the first tune the Port Caroline has visited Timarui. She , is a steel twui-screw, cruiser-stern steamer of a. gross tonnage of 8263, ; and a net tonnage of 5108. She is 480 ■ feet in length, 62 feet in breadth, and 33 feet in depth, and was built in 1919 : by Workman, Clark, and. Coy,, Belfast, for the Commonwealth and Dominion Line, Ltd., her present owners. 1 The Holmdale arrived about 6 p.m. vesterday, and sailed later, alter loading for Wellington and Wanganui. It is reported that the Canadian , Cruiser will call hero to-morrow. The Kaikoura has been still further ■delayed and is -now. not expected hero until about Thursday next. ; Next week promises to be fairly quiet ill the port, so far only three vessels being announced.
