Girdiin, Air and Mrs Rloidgate, j nnaru, and' the Rev. J. R. and Airs Clarke, who were visiting Mr Brown. Apologies wore received from Air T. 1). Burnett, M.P., the Rev. A. H. Norris, an-.i cno Rev. J. Feafcnerst-ono (Ueraldine). Various stalls were distributed throughout tho grounds, each being verv attractively arranged, and goou business was do'nc. Tlioso in charge were:—Cake stall, Airs E. B. Cooper, assisted by the Young Ladies’ Bible Class; fruit salad, the Misses Hancox; afternoon tea. Young Ladies’ Guild; decorated display, Mrs Harris and Mrs Elder. The tennis court and croquet greens wore also fully occupied during the afternoon. Two very pleasing and spectacular Moms were a parade of decorated cycles and a number of children dressed to represent various flowers. One of the features of the afternoon was the fine musical programme given by an orchestra comprising Miss Levons (violm i. M.ss M. M. Miles, (piano), Mr N. Collins (violin), and Mr Hatton conclusion of the function tho Rev. Frank Harris, in a short speech, thanked Air and Aliss Brown for the use of their beautiful grounds, in which they had met for many years, and also all those who had assisted to make the garden party a- success.

Radburn; wrestling etc., Messrs Muson, Lysagij, and H; Thomson; clerks of tho course, Messrs 1:1. Boyle and J. Tennant; stewards, Messrs P. Surridgo, L. Cain, and RDuncan; timekeepers, Messrs G. KHassall and H. Fraser; lap scorer, Air W J VJoore; competitors’ steward, Messrs J. Harrisj and E. G. Scrimshaw; Press steward, Air AY. E. Liilej , handicapper, Mr C. E. Hassall; starter, Mr AY. J‘. Moore. The president, .secretary, and Air J. Anderson were appointed to arrange for a refreshment booth, and a soft drink stall. It was also agreed to got tenders from the Pipe and Brass Bands and that written application must be made for space for side showsi. Tho Railway Department advised that a special / train would be run from Timaru at 10.46 a.in. (after tho arrival of tho 10.40 a.m. train from Oaiharu) returning from Temuka at 5.55 p.m. Other trains from Temuka wou ! d also bo delayed. The following new members "'ere elected: Aleasrs AY. Hally, M. Swap and G. Paterson. Arrangements were made for the dance on the evening of tho sports, and the meeting terminated.
