RECORD LOWERED. By Telegraph—Press Association. NAPIER, Wednesday. In the 100 yards Hawke’s Bay provincial swimming championship to-night, Lound lowered the New Zealand intermediate record by three-fifths of a second, covering the distance in 62 1-5 seconds.

ST. PATRICK’S CLUB. St. Patrick’s Swimming Club concluded a very successful season with two races which caused keen interest. The first was over a distance of 150 yards and was the final of a series of three distances for Mr O’Meeghan’s prize. A great finish between C. Dwan and G. Flett saw the former just win after giving away 2,osec. The second race was a 5 0 yards dash, J. Crowley (2sec) just getting home from C. Knight (3sec), with W. Reilly and C. Clarke • touching almost with him.
