THE THIRD TEST. By Cable—Press Association —Copyright. CAPETOWN, Jan. 17. Tlie third Test match has commenced at Durban. The weather is cloudy and inclined to be showery. The Marylebone team played Street in.place of Brown, and South Africa included Snooke vice George Hearne, otherwise the teams are the same as took part in the second Test. Marylebone won the toss and batted, but made a disastrous opening, two wickets being lost for two runs.
SATLTBDAY’S GAMES. Unusual interest Is being evinced in the meeting between Celtic and Zingari in the senior championship game on Saturday. So far neither team has suffered defeat this season, and the result of the match -will have an important bearing on the premiership. Celtic have won all their games up to the present stage, and Zingari have been victorious in all their engagements except an uncompleted game with High School. A: collection will be taken up in aid of the funds of the South Canterbury Cricket Association. The following will represent Celtic seniors against Zingari at the Park at 2 p.m. to-morrow:—M. Houlihan, M. Angland, C. Dwan, J. Kane, L. Kane, F. McGrath, R. Liddicut, T. Mullan, C'. Harding, F. Bowles, A. Bentley. - Owing to the match Star B v. High School being postponed, the Star A. v. Watlington game has been transferred to the Athletic Grounds. The following will represent Star „ A against Watlington at the Athletic Ground at 2 p.m. to-morrow: —H. Walker, J. Halkett, J. Lewis, A. Taylor, N. Hamlyn, C. Milner, G. Cook, W. Grant, J. Stevenson, V. Keay, J. Karton H. Sincock.
