Air Ohamborhiiii, in presenting Sir James Craig and bis wile with gilts of plate from 300 Commoners, in recognition of his attainment to the Ulster premiership, said ilia 1. so far as that Parliament was concerned, it would uphold Ulster’s liberty. Sir Janies Craig’s every effort had been in the interests of the pence and prosperity of Ireland, North and South, of whatever class or creed. Lord Birkenhead, referring to prewar controversies, declared that there was nothing Sir James then, did or said, which ho would not repeat it the risks of Ulster were repeated. Sir James Craig, replying,_ said that whatever side the others might take, or refused ever to take, he would never take any but the side oi Great Britain and the Empire.
