S.O. ASSOCIATION. COMMITJKE MEETING
| A meeting of the management committee was held on Tuesday evening in Mr G. P. Wood’s office. Present: ALisses Tizard Itcid, flight. Bussell, Cooper, and Messrs .Mcßae (chairman), .Ramsay, Leslie, Voss, Dingwall, Bennett and Tapp. | The secretary xeported that the Canterbury Association had notified their (intent-ic® of tending down two
for the tournament on August 20, and that a team from Otago had also entered. . In the absence of a sufficient number of entries from ladies’ teams it was decided to endeavour to arrange representative ladies 1 middles with either Otago or Canterbury. The Te Rangi Olu'b was granted permission to play a team from Famaiu on Saturday, August 6. The entertainment committee in connexion with the tournament reported that good progress was being made with arrangements for the dance to he held on August 20; also that a number of citizens had promised to assist m taking the visiting players for a motor spin on Sunday, August 21. Final arrangements were mads with regards to the South Canterbury representative teams visit to Christchurch, for the matches on Saturday, August 6. Mr G. Tapp was appointed treasurer of the tournament committee. Te Rangi v. Oamam. The following Te Rangi seim will plav an Oanjaru team on tue Paik Grounds on Saturday, at 2 p.'ii. sharp: Goalkeeper, Cowles; full backs, lminiins and Bowles; halt backs, inunti, Berry (captain) and Tow ; forwards, Bowden Kennedy, Stead, Graliam ami Mcllwraitli. Referee, Mr Dickenson. Representative Teams. The representative teams rill travel to Christchurch by the second express on Friday. All members of tie teams and travelling supporters are requested to hand in the amount of thentrain fares, viz., 21s, to the secietaty before Thursday evening and to meet on the station platform at 4,.10 p.m. on Friday. Tt has been decided that •the men will play in Co-op. colours (black and yellow) and white shorts.
