John McClure, on a similar charge, was fined 10s and costs Grace Cochrane, driving motor car round n corner in the wrong manner, fined 5s and costs. 1. J • Hyan, sum larly charged. 5s and costs. William Northcott appeared to answei a charge ot driving a vehicle at night without a liglit, and pleaded guilty, out ur"ed that it was a beautmil moonlight night and as a matter of fact none ot the street lights in the Borough were ht Thc Magistrate: ‘'l’m afraid, that Parliament, does not make provision tor moonlight nights. Fined os and costs. Garnet W. Campbell pleaded gun-y to a similar charge, and explamedtoit but for an errand of mercy he would have been home in daylight. He had stopped to mend a lady’s clothes line. Fined 5s and costs. Reginald Greeser pleaded guilty to a , charge of exposing for sale at Stuaholme Junction sheep infected with lice. He stated that they were lames, dipped in March, and he could only attribute their condition to dry' weather. Mr Baxter, Stock Inspector, admitted that Air Creesor knew nothing of the condition of the. lani'os when ho yarded them. —Fined 20s and .costs.
