Edwin Naulty, an American meteorologist, has announced that he will make a flight across the Arctic Ocean to the North Pole, thence to Spitzbergen and to North Cape in Norway. A start will be made at Point Barrow, Alaska, in September. A halt Avill take place at the Pole for observation. One aeroplane will be U3ecl, and there will be three pilots besides Naulty. Naulty declares that adventure is not the incentive, hut he hopes to accomplish certain scientific results in study of the Arctic air currents, magnetic variation, and inclination. The machine will be equipped with wireless for communication with civilisation.
