Judging by the paucity of their offers there is a stronger lone throughout. ' Considerable business with the North Island . has been done in cocksfoot, on the basis of 9Jd for machine dressed, equal to 7d to 7id for farmers. WOOL SALE. INVERCARGILL, August 2. The third wool sale of the season was held to-night. There was a giod muster of buyers who bade freely for practically all the lots submitted. Competition was very keen for light conditioned wools, 'but the prices were down all round, good bright well-grown hogget wool being the least affected.
