Sir,—A letter' appears in your journal of even date nndor the signature of "interested," which suggests that one of tho reasons why workmen leave private employers of labour, -uhl seek ivorlc at the Timaiu Post Office additions is that they thereby secure a soft job. It so happens that one of our carpenters recently left ns, and obtained work at the Post Office job, and we have been accused of being the writer of the said letter.
