SOLDIERS' MEMORIAL.
AT KEADOTCN. A large gathering of Sea down residents and visitors from neighbouring districts met at the school on Thursday afternoon to take part in the unveiling of the district roll of lion our. Mr Edgar, chairman of the Menioiial .Committee presided, . while .the Rev. Father Hore, the Rev. C. McDonald, the Rev. A. H. Korris, and Mr T. Gunuion, Mayor of Teruuka, referred eloquently to the heroic sacrifice which so many >Scadown soldiers had made. The unveiling of the massive and beautiful honours board and tablet was done by the Missus Agnew and Spring. Mr Cain, sou,., replied on . behalf of the relatives of the fallen and for the returned men. Miss Odfield, at the piano,. led the musical part of the .service, -which concluded with the sounding of the "Last Post" by Bugler Burtcr.shaw. The names of the fallen arc engraved on a. brass shield, which is mounted on an oaken honours board containing in gold the names of returned soldiers.
