BAND SATURDAY

AT WAIMATE. A large crowd will take the road to Waimate on Saturday afternoon next, when the Band of the 2nd (South Canterbury) Regiment and the Ballarat Concert Party and Commercial Travellers will motor t 0 Waimate, nearly one hundred strong. Waimate is in for a lively afternoon and evening, music on the streets and afterwards the performance at Olympia by the Band's Revue and Comedy Company. "Rose of the Cabaret' leaves nothing to be desired for a snappy and quick-moviug musical revue, with introduction of many quite novel items. The stage will be specially lit with an extra electric plant, and in addition to the music supplied by the company several local niusi;-;il, performers have kindly consented to* assist with the incidental music of tha piece. Everything points to a huge success on Saturday, and the musiclovers of Waimate will give the popula band a boost along.
